TORONTO F-BODY MOTORSPORTS
MISSION STATEMENT
"Toronto F-body Motorsports
(TFbM) is a group of enthusiasts dedicated to the f-body (Chevrolet Camaro and
Pontiac Firebird). Members are actively involved in enjoying all years and
styles of Camaros and Firebirds through various club activities, including our
web based Mailing List. We build our skills as drivers through various
organized events. We created and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers
and service providers to benefit all members of the club."

Constitution of
Toronto F-body Motorsports
Article 1:
Name
The club shall be known as "Toronto F-body Motorsports"
or "TFbM".
Article 2:
Objectives and Purposes
The objective and purpose of the Toronto F-body Motorsports club
will be to:
a. Promote the enjoyment and preservation of all generations of the
Camaro and Firebird
b. Encourage and foster the spirit of unity and sportsmanship amongst
its members.
c. Educate its members in the observation of all traffic regulations
covering the operation of motor vehicles.
d. Promote safety, courtesy and consideration towards pedestrians and
other motorists.
e. Promote the safe operation and maintain high standards of
mechanical efficiency and appearance of members' vehicles.
f. Promote motor vehicle events.
g. Educate and enlighten the public regarding the aforementioned
objectives and solicit their support of motor sports events.
Article 3:
Membership
a. Full membership in TFbM is open to any person of good character,
who is fully acquainted with, and agrees with the objectives of the club. A
full member in good standing shall have full voting privileges and may hold any
office in the club. Full membership includes membership in TFbM, CASC
affiliation, access to the TFbM secure website, e-mail list and all other
privileges of membership.
b. Honorary membership may be awarded in the club, at the discretion
of the executive committee, to any person who has made a significant
contribution to the advancement of the club and/or the Camaro and Firebird. An
honorary member may attend and speak at club meetings but may not move
resolutions or vote.
c. While all are welcome to participate in TFbM events and
competitions, only members utilizing any generation of Camaro or Firebird are
eligible for club points and/or club awards.
Article 4:
Fiscal Year
The fiscal year of TFbM is from January 1 st to December 31 st .
Article 5:
Executive Committee
The TFbM executive committee shall consist of:
President
Vice President
Treasurer/Secretary
Membership Director
Social Director
Solo Series Director
Drag Race Series Director
Website Administrator
Past President
Members of the executive shall hold office for two years, and be
elected at the club's annual general meeting. The President,
Treasurer/Secretary, Social Director, and Drag Race Series Director shall be
elected on even calendar years. The Vice President, Membership Director, and
Solo Series Directors shall be elected on odd calendar years.
The Website Administrator shall be appointed by the Executive
Committee for a term of one year.
Article 6:
Club Officers
In order to meet the requirements of incorporation, the following
executive positions shall be officers of the club:

Treasurer/Secretary
Membership Director
Social Director
Solo Series Director
Drag Race Series Director
Article 7:
Code of Conduct
Members of the Toronto F-body Motorsports club will follow the
following Code of Conduct during all TFbM sanctioned or sponsored events or
functions. Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in the executive
committee canceling, with a full membership refund, that member's membership,
with all its rights and privileges.
The Code of Conduct consists of:
a. Club members shall act in a sportsmanlike
manner while participating in all club sponsored events and functions
b. Club members shall at all
times act in a considerate and courteous manner towards fellow competitors,
enthusiasts and the public
c. Club members shall not behave
in a manner that would be detrimental to the reputation, image or good standing
of the club
d. Club members shall drive
their vehicles in a safe and courteous manner on public roads and highways.
Article 8:
Amendments
Amendments to the Constitution may be debated and voted on at any
regular meeting, provided that notice of the subject and intent of the
amendment(s) is/are submitted to the Executive in writing at least three weeks
prior to the scheduled meeting. Any such proposed amendments shall be conveyed
to the membership via the TFbM web site at least two weeks prior to the
scheduled meeting.

By-Laws of the
Toronto F-body Motorsports
Article 1:
Duties of Executive Committee
Members
The duties of officers shall be those usually pertaining to their
respective offices in regards to the affairs of TFbM:
a. President
The President will preside at all regular and annual meetings and
conduct them in accordance with parliamentary authority named in Article 7 of
the By-laws. The President may also preside at committee meetings, which
shall be conducted in accordance with parliamentary authority named in Article
7 of the By-Laws. The President shall also be responsible for scoring and
keeping a record of all competition points and standings for the overall club
championship. The President shall sign all official documents. The President,
as chief executive officer, shall supervise the club's affairs and activities.
b. Vice President
The Vice President shall assume all or part of the
responsibilities of the President in case of the absence, disability or failure
to act of the president. The Vice President will coordinate all sponsorship
activities and year end prizes and awards.
c. Treasurer/Secretary
The Treasurer/Secretary shall record the minutes of all meetings
of the club and shall keep the records in accordance with the parliamentary
authority named in Article 7 of the By-laws.
The Treasurer/Secretary shall also be responsible for the club's
income, and for keeping all financial books and records. The
Treasurer/Secretary shall disburse funds at the discretion of the executive
committee and sign all cheques drawn on the club bank account(s).
d. Membership Director
The Membership Director shall be responsible for the promotion and
maintenance of club membership, as well as maintenance of the membership
register. The Membership Director shall also be responsible for the collection
of membership fees. The Membership Director shall ensure that each member is
provided with a club membership card, and other club paraphernalia as provided
by the club from time to time.
The Membership Director will also be responsible for the handling
of CASC competition licenses.
e. Social Director
The Social Director shall be responsible for recruiting organizers
for all club social events and keeping a record of all club member participants
for the purposes of the overall club championship. The Social Director may
recruit committee members as necessary and shall be responsible for each
event's compliance with current club rules, regulations and code of conduct.
f.
Solo
Series Director
The Solo Series Director shall be responsible for recruiting
organizers for all the club solo events and keeping a record of all solo
competition points and standings. The Solo Series Director shall liaise with
event facility owner(s) or event organizer(s) for event scheduling and to
ensure the smooth running of TFbM Solo Series events. The Solo Series Director
may recruit committee members as necessary and shall be responsible for each
event's compliance with current club rules, regulations and code of conduct.
g. Drag Race Series
Director
The Drag Race Series Director shall be responsible for recruiting
organizers for all the club drag events and keeping a record of all drag
competition points and standings. The Drag Race Series Director shall liaise
with event facility owner(s) or event organizer(s) for event scheduling and to
ensure the smooth running of TFbM Drag Race Series events. The Drag Race Series
Director may recruit committee members as necessary and shall be responsible
for each event's compliance with current club rules, regulations and code of
conduct.
h. Website Administrator(s)
The Internet Administrator(s) shall be responsible for maintaining
and updating the club's website as required or directed by the Executive
Committee.
i.
Past
President
The Past President shall act as an advisor to the executive, in order
to provide continuity and knowledge of the activities of the past and current
year.
Article 2:
Membership
Upon payment of membership dues, membership in the Toronto F-body
Motorsports club shall be on a calendar year basis.
a. Applications for membership
shall be submitted to the Membership Director who shall be satisfied that the
applicant meets the requirements for membership as stipulated in Article 3 of
the Constitution.
b. Upon written complaint to the
executive committee as to the conduct of any member, which is, in the opinion
of the executive committee, likely to reflect unfavourably upon the club, such
member maybe expelled by a seventy-five (75%) vote of the executive committee.
Such member shall have the right to speak on his/her behalf.
c. No member or executive
officer shall be personally liable for any bills or obligations incurred by the
club other than his/her membership dues.
Article 3:
Dues
a.
The executive committee will determine a schedule of membership
dues for the upcoming year. The proposed fee schedule will be voted upon by the
membership at the Annual General Meeting. The proposed fee schedule shall be
conveyed to the membership via the TFbM web site at least two weeks prior to
the Annual General Meeting.
b.
The annual dues shall be based on the annual CASC membership levy,
fees and other charges, as well as, the requirements of the club for the
upcoming year.
c.
Dues are payable on the first day of January (i.e.: the first day
of the fiscal year). Membership fees will not be pro-rated for partial year
memberships.
d.
Honourary members will not be required to pay TFbM dues. Honourary
members will be required to pay their CASC levy while actively engaged in
motor sport activities.
e.
Family
Memberships - Will be offered yearly at a rate voted upon at the annual general
meeting. The membership will include a CASC membership, TFbM voting rights and
TFbM event and sponsor discounts for immediate family members only. No
TFbM promotional materials (decals, hats) will be included with this
membership.
Article 4:
Meetings
a. Meetings of the club membership
will be held monthly or as determined by the club executive. A quorum for the
transaction of business at general meetings shall consist of 60% of the
membership present at the beginning of a meeting.
b. Meetings of the executive committee
shall be held monthly or as determined by the club executive. Executive
meetings shall be held one to two weeks prior to general meetings of the club
membership. Further meetings may be held at the discretion of the President. A
quorum of the executive committee for the purpose of transacting business shall
consist of five (5) members of the executive committee.
c. The meeting in November shall
be known as the annual general meeting and shall be for the purpose of electing
officers, receiving reports of officers and committees, setting out the
activities of the club for the upcoming fiscal year and any other business that
may arise.
Article 5:
Election of Officers
a. A nomination committee of
three (3) members shall be appointed by the executive committee on or before
two months prior to the annual general meeting (i.e.: by September 30 th )
b. The nominating committee
shall present a list of willing candidates for executive committee positions at
the annual general meetings.
c. Nominations may be made from
the floor at the annual general meeting for any of the executive committee
positions, providing the nominee consents to the nomination.
d. The nomination committee
shall conduct the election of the executive committee at the annual general
meeting. Votes shall be cast by secret ballot. The nominating committee or
other neutral committee or other neutral persons will act as scrutineers.
e. A candidate having been defeated
for one position may run for any other position in the same election.
f.
In the event
of a vacancy occurring in the executive committee during the fiscal year, the
executive committee will appoint another club member to fill the vacancy.
Article 6:
Appropriation of Funds
a. The executive committee will
be responsible for the expenditure of all funds required for the normal
operation of the club, stationery, advertising and normal expenses for the
promotion of events. All cheques drawn upon the club's account(s) shall be
signed by two club officers.
b. The
executive committee may approve expenditures for items less than one thousand
dollars ($1,000) per item. The membership at large must approve all expenditures
of one thousand dollars ($1,000) or more per item.
c. Club members attending out of
town meetings on behalf of the club are eligible for reimbursement of travel
expenses and meals as required. The amount and nature of the expenses to be
pre-approved by the executive committee.
d. Entry fees for club events
will be decided and voted upon by the executive committee.
Article 7:
Parliamentary Authority
The rules contained in "Roberts Rules of Order" shall govern
the club in all cases to which they are applicable, and in which they are not
inconsistent with the By-laws or the special rules of order of this club.
Article 8:
Amendments
Amendments to the By-laws may be debated and voted on at any

Appendix One to the By-Laws of the
Toronto F-body Motorsports
Points Scoring Systems & Annual
Awards
Article 1:
Object
a. To encourage participation in
motor sport and to give recognition to Toronto F-body Motorsports members who
have made the greatest contribution in the fiscal year, both within and outside
the club. Championship points will be awarded in an equitable manner for
competition, assistance and participation in TFbM championship and
non-championship ("fun") events, which the TFbM may sponsor from time
to time.
b. To be eligible for points in
any category for any club event, a participant must be a member in good
standing of the club at the start of the event.
c.
Points will only be awarded for events that are held. Points are not
awarded for cancelled events.
Article 2:
Championship Points and Series
For the two disciplines of solo and drag the club will annually
organize a series of competitive events, each operating under the general
guidance of the Regulations of the appropriate sanctioning bodies. The events
constituting each series and their competitive classes shall be designated by
the director of each discipline as follows:
a. Solo Series
Participation in Solo Series events counts towards the Solo Driver
Championship. Events designated as Solos shall use classes as defined by
current regional Solo regulations on the basis of vehicle type. Event times
will be factored to account for vehicle modifications and/or specific f-body
models. Time factors for f-body modifications and/or specific f-body models to
be determined by the Solo Series Director
b. Drag Series
Participation in Drag Race Series events counts towards the Drag
Race Championship. Events designated as Drag races shall use the rules and
regulations as defined by the drag race facilities hosting the events.
Article 3:
Annual Awards
a. Annual awards will be
presented at the club's annual awards meeting or function.
b. The following awards are
based on competition categories. In the event of a tie for any
competition-based award, it shall be broken by the number of first place
finishes in class. That failing the number of second place finishes in class,
and so on.
i.
Club
Champion
Awarded to the member with the highest combined total points in
all competitions, and participation in other club-sponsored events. First
runner up award will be made to the member with the second highest points
total. Second runner up award will be made to the member with the third highest
points total.
ii.
Solo
Champion
Awarded to the member with the highest total points in the Solo
category. First runner up award will be made to the member with the second
highest points total.
iii.
Drag
Champion
Awarded to the member with the highest total points in the Drag category.
First runner up award will be made to the member with the second highest points
total.
iv.
Executive
Award
The Executive may, at its discretion, present an award to any
member(s) deemed to have made an exceptional contribution to the club. This
award does not have to be awarded each year
Article 4:
Competition Points
Point scoring shall be awarded on the basis of club members
finishing order amongst club members only. Non-members shall not be included in
the finishing order for the purposes of point calculations for the overall club
championship or the various competition series.
a. Club championship points are
awarded for all club-sponsored events, based on:
